How Search Engines Work.
Only two types of major search engines exist,
spider indexed and human indexed. It is very vital
to understand how these search engines work and
which to worry about more. The more you understand
the closer you will be to having a top ranking
with any of the major search engines. .
Search engines are designed to be able to find
a site and its pages according to different search
criteria. They work in very much the same way
as an automated online yellow pages.
Search engines take the information thats is
"fed" to them. How this information
is “fed” to the search engine is totally
up to you and how you want your site viewed on
a search engine.
Please remember that the purpose of search engine
optimization is all about getting you a top ranking
on any search engine not making your site "pretty".
Search engines do not notice how much flash or
pretty art you have. Search engines only notice
what is "fed" to them. About 95% of
the search engines on the Internet are self indexing
or spider robot indexed. The other 5% are human
indexed.
We do need to not that you can not optimize your
site for a human indexed search engine. Unless
someone at that search engine likes your site
you will not come up on thier site. The good news
with this is that human indexed search engines
only make up about %5 of all search engines. We
will not spend much time looking at human indexed
search engines because of this.
